Head of Product

Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Product with a strong technical background and strong people skills to oversee a suite of products in healthcare analytics, bioinformatics, and infectious disease tracking. This is a high-impact role that influences our growth and future. 

The position is remote where you can work from anywhere within the U.S. or Canada. You will be responsible for managing the roadmap and overseeing our five products that are focused on making data actionable through analytics, visualization, reporting, AI, and workflow automation within healthcare — working closely with customers, engineering, sales, R&D, and subject matter experts to understand needs, collect/prioritize requirements, and solve problems to execute the project plan and deliver successful software solutions.

You will have full ownership to drive projects while exercising considerable independent judgment and discretion. This is a startup environment, which means you are never confined to one narrow area while juggling priorities and considering trade-offs. 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management within healthcare software.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written with the polish, and poise that will ensure efficiency in all interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering; background as an engineer strongly preferred,
  • Strong in design sensibility: be the voice and advocate of the customers.
  • Ability to collect/analyze data and formulate business recommendations.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in healthcare informatics product management preferred.
  • Familiarity with machine learning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and own both the overarching product strategy and delivery.
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, R&D, SMEs, and customers to define business and technical requirements and develop corresponding implementation plans.
  • Uncover the latent and unmet needs of users, successfully converting their needs into our products.
  • Interface with customer business owners regularly to discuss issues and collect feedback.
  • Coordinate and deliver regular releases for each product based on the product roadmap.
  • Proactively manage and resolve dependencies, risks, and issues. 
  • Oversee release planning, and progress tracking.
  • Proactively work with engineering to improve operational efficiency
