Our journey began with a loss — and a promise that no life should be endangered by fragmented data or missed opportunities for clinical insight.

The story of Bitscopic starts with our founders, Payam Etminani and Farshid Sedghi — two Silicon Valley technologists with deep roots in healthcare and public service. In 2012, they lost a close friend, a U.S. Veteran, to a hospital-acquired infection. That moment sparked a question that became a mission: What if data had told a clearer story — and someone had been able to act on it?

That question became the catalyst for BITSCOPIC.

From a Promise to a Platform

Bitscopic was founded on the belief that advanced technology — particularly AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics — could transform how health systems surface insights, respond in real time, and deliver better patient outcomes. What began as a research collaboration with the VA has evolved into a full suite of solutions deployed in health systems across the U.S.
