Job Description

As a full-stack engineer, working from anywhere in the U.S., you will work closely with our distributed team and customers to translate requirements into our products’ UX, business and data layers resulting in intuitive, easy to use applications. You will also work with other engineers to integrate your work with the rest of the products. You will iterate constantly on designs, interactions, and subtle details to deliver the optimal experience.

You will use your experience to drive medium to large-sized tasks and projects while exercising considerable independent judgment and discretion. This is a startup environment, which means you are never confined to one narrow area.

Required Qualifications – 4+ years of proven experience with below on commercially used systems/products:

  • Proven experience in modern data-driven and scalable web application development 
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and keen to contribute new ideas
  • Methodical and creative approach to problem-solving, with good attention to details
  • Track record in using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Ember, Angular, etc.
  • Developing in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Proficient in one or more: Java, C#/.NET, Python

Preferred Qualifications – Proven experience working with below on commercially used projects/products

  • Microservices
  • Serverless computing
  • Distributed computing, e.g. Solr, HBase, HDFS, NoSQL
  • Building, maintaining and supporting Docker apps
  • Automating tasks through tools such as Jenkins
  • Software quality assurance practices, methodologies, and procedures
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 6+ years of experience as a software development engineer in the commercial software industry

Job Description

As our Director of Sales and Business Development, you will be focused on several key strategic initiatives:

  • Expand Bitscopic’s product footprint in existing accounts
  • Generate and close new opportunities in the VA, non-VA healthcare systems and other government organizations
  • Retain and manage the renewal process for existing customers

In this role, you will define Bitscopic’s growth plan, coordinate and execute growth program, and optimize the revenue and pipeline funnel.  You will work directly with the founding team to formulate and implement an actionable company strategy with defined milestones. You will also work closely with other members of the organization to design and implement growth initiatives. 

You have experience in sales for enterprise healthcare software or medical products. 


  • Own the pipeline and revenue end to end, including target opportunities, industries, sales strategies 
  • Design and implement a scalable sales function including demand generation, prospecting, capture management, channels, and partnerships
  • Identify and establish relationships with key ecosystem partners to generate awareness, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue
  • Provide feedback and input into the strategic product roadmap to address the market needs of target segments and industries
  • Cultivate a high-performing, one-team culture on the sales and marketing team. 


  • Demonstrated track record of strong sales growth, especially with Federal government agencies,  by acquiring new accounts
  • Prior experience in scaling company revenue and operations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to positively impact and influence; superior peer relationship skills
  • Highly effective people leader, with experience leading others at the executive level and above
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions
  • Assertive and action-oriented with strategic planning skills
  • Proven senior leadership ability with a proven track record of building and motivating strong teams
  • Healthcare software sales as well as experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs a plus
  • Experience in working within a startup environment a plus

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international business, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 7 years of software sales experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
